The Temple-Ryan Farmhouse, also known as the Benjamin Temple House, is a colonial-era home located at 27 Federal City Road in Ewing Township, NJ. Built around 1750 by Benjamin Temple—a patriot and prosperous farmer—the house stood through the turbulence of the Revolutionary War and offers a vivid glimpse into rural life during the era. Though not the site of a major battle, the farmhouse reflects the agricultural foundations that sustained both soldiers and civilians, and it represents the many homesteads affected by troop movements and wartime requisitions. Relocated in 1973 to preserve its legacy, the site is now maintained as a museum by the Ewing Township Historic Preservation Society.
